The 100-Day Experiment: Can Thinking Rich Really Create Wealth?
Day 15: Receiving Abundance – Finding Blessings in Disguise
Receiving abundance isn’t always about gaining—it’s about trusting, even when something is taken away.
On January 31, I woke up expecting my car to be warmed up, just like Dennis always does for me. It’s one of those little things I appreciate—just hopping into a cozy, warm car, ready to go.
But that day? No car.
Just an empty space where it should have been.
I called Dennis.
“Where’s the car?”
He thought I was joking. But no—the car was gone. Stolen.
In that moment, my mind raced in every direction:
– Is this a sign that something better is coming?
– Wahhh, can we even trust people anymore?!
– But I love that car! It’s not just about the money—it’s how well we took care of it!
And then… perspective.
Maybe this was a blessing in disguise.
Maybe this was happening for me, not to me.
Or maybe losing something doesn’t mean it’s truly lost…
That night, the police called. Our car had been sitting right behind our condo complex all day, all doors wide open. No damage—just a few missing items (including my snacks! 😂).
And when I turned it on? The Christian music was still playing, just as Dennis had set it up that morning.
God is good! We got the car back!!!
Maybe this was God’s “Receiving Abundance 101” lesson for me.
Because, just a few days later, we received a monetary compensation from insurance!
What first felt like a loss turned into an unexpected blessing.
I realized that walking in faith isn’t just about believing when things are going well—it’s about trusting when it looks like something is being taken away.
Because sometimes, God removes things to make room for something better.
And to fully receive, I have to completely trust.
📌 What I’m Taking Into Tomorrow:
Instead of holding on tightly to what I think I need, I’ll trust that if something is meant for me, it will stay. And if it leaves, it’s making space for something greater.
📌 Affirmation for Today:
“I trust that every shift in my life is leading me toward greater abundance. I receive blessings with open hands and an open heart.”
📌 Reflection:
How can I trust that God’s abundance is working for my good, even when it doesn’t look like it at first?
